Mac Miller & VibeToThis ATL 3-Part Interview: TreeJay, Success, #MostDope (VTT Original Video)

Its likely that Mac Miller had the best 2011 of any 19 year old on planet earth.
Here at VibeToThis, we have had the pleasure of covering the now 20 year old Rostrum Records signee since the days when "Nike's on My Feet" and "Live Free" were just fresh new impressive tunes from an unknown little whiteboy outta PA that we quickly dubbed "The Faucet".

17 Months, 82 VTT posts, One #1 Album, and over 3.6 Million combined FB/Twitter fans later, Mac has attained a level of influence, popularity, and fame that is unprecedented from an independent artist. Speaking for VTT, as fans, music-enthusiasts, and young people trying to make it in our own right, watching the #MostDope #ThumbsUp movement successfully spread, with a message of believing in yourself and feeling good about life at its core, has been truly inspiring.

VibeToThis has been blessed to experience some of the #MostDope movement live in the flesh and share extensive overage of Mac Miller's Blue Slide Park tour in both Baltimore & Los Angeles.

Today we have the culmination of our 2011 Mac Miller coverage with a VibeToThis & Mac Miller Three-Part interview. The VTT Atlanta team, headed up by @BisForByce and world-class photographer @wonkasworld captured the glory of the live performance and then hopped on the tour bus with Mac, Treej, and Q for some real talk with some real people.

The videos below were shot on 11/26/2011 at The Blue Slide Park Tour show at The Tabernacle, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Check out all three of the interviews and get to know more about @MacMiller, @TreeJay, @InterviewQ, and the #MostDope family. #Thumbsup

WZRD - "Teleport 2 Me, Jamie" ft. Desire (MP3 Stream)

Following the announcement from homegrown eclectic duo WZRD that their debut release would be pushed back to end of March, Kid Cudi + Dot da Genius do follow up with their promise to release two tracks in advance, one of which is below in "Teleport 2 Me, Jamie".  Apparently taking after the mother of Cudder's first child, this track's got a beautiful and easy-to-listen tone that rivals some of the darker stuff we've seen the Cleveland experiment with over the past year.  Stream below and purchase both "Teleport 2 Me, Jamie" and the previous listen "Brake".

Mike Stud - "Happy Ending" dir. Jon Kilmer Studios (Music Video)

It's Mike Stud homie. The embodiment of frat rap can usually be trusted to periodically deliver fun and dumb songs about partying and girls, but has also caught us off guard before by offering some surprisingly deep material and playing it off like it's no big deal. That's what just happened here, teaming up with Jon Kilmer to produce a set of visuals for "Happy Ending," a standout track of his A Toast To Tommy mixtape...somehow adding more weight to an already heavy song. So throw out everything you thought you knew about Stud, and check out the video below.

By the way, I've also been appreciating how much Jon Kilmer has developed as a director over the past few months, his videos definitely have a lot more variety and creativity than before. Check out more of his work over at his facebook page.

Fortune Family - "Fam-Uh-Lah" (MP3 Download)

Fortune Family is back! Although the we've heard plenty of each of them lately, the duo has been off our radar since their last single "Living Dead" dropped back in September.

It's safe to say it's been a minute, but damn they don't act like it.

"Fam-Uh-Lah" is a bit of a divergence of what we've come to expect from The Fam but still carries a smooth beat with plenty of sampling goodness that Hop and Reef flow over skillfully and effortlessly. Keep an eye out for more from their upcoming tape, which has yet to receive neither a name nor release date.
