Hoodie Allen feat. Two Door Cinema – "Words of Wisdom"

Hoodie Allen, young-and-buckin’ genius of hip hop fusion, is back at it again with some rediculously well-sampled, catchy-as-fuck material.  A couple months go, Allen came out with the instantly popular “You Are Not A Robot” sampling Marina & The Diamonds and catching the ears of anyone who appreciates the combination of these alternating genres.  ‘Robot’ was fantastic no doubt, but ‘Wisdom’ is an incredible follow-up that tops his previous release with the help of Xaphoon Jones-like drums and an elevated lyrical prowness.

Allen’s initial mixtape, Making Waves, was also a collection of bangers (click here to download), though none of those stood up to these latest tracks, especially “Words of Wisdom.”  Allen & producer RJF will be releasing their first album together, titled Pep Rally come September, so stay tuned…give these a listen and see what ya think, it’s songs like this by artists like this that should make us extremely excited for where hip hop is going….enjoy!
