Gary Clark Jr. – Live @ Variety Playhouse, ATL, GA (VTT Photos)
Gary Clark Jr. and crew came through Atlanta on June 12, 2012 fresh off a Bonnaroo performance on the mainstage. Regretfully missing the chance to see him in Manchester, the show in ATL at the Variety Playhouse was a no-brainer. Anyone who has been to a festival knows about post-fest depression… and Gary Clark Jr. was the perfect cure for my bonnaroo blues. New to fame but all too familiar with the grind, Gary Clark Jr. has been one of the hardest working blues/rock guitarists in music. The Austin bred guitarist has been releasing his own material for nearly a decade, but his situation has seen a fruitful turn in the last year.
