Kendrick Lamar x Ab-Soul x Jay Rock x Stalley / BET Music Matters Tour Live @ Rams Head, Baltimore, MD

The BET-presented Music Matters Tour has been one of the nicest showcases of upcoming hip hop over the past few months – featuring TDE brethren Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock, along with MMG signee and Ohio’s own Stalley.  As was the intent of the tour from its inception, this run of dates has been to highlight this array of collective talent, who aside from potent lyrical ability, also possess an intelligence that greatly surpasses most of their industry peers today.

Earlier this month, the crew touched down at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD, for what can simply be described as one of the best hip hop shows we’ve seen in town over the last couple years.  The night was as simplistic as it might be, but to the point, and as a result both highly entertaining and pure to form.  Little time between sets, no hype men, high energy, and about 4 hours of performances made for a hell of a night.
