Counterpoint Music Festival had an unbelievable first year kick-off. Despite harsh weather connections on Day 2, the weekend went well. The mix of hip hop to funk, dubstep to house was perfect of the attendee’s which reached about 20,000.
Friday’s hip hop show was almost cancelled until Theophilus London sat in during M83’s scheduled performance once their equipment got wet.
Big Boi turned up the volume during his afternoon set on Saturday playing Outkast tracks like “So Fresh, So Clean,” “Elevators,” and “B.O.B.” Big Boi’s set ushered in another hip hop heavyweight, Wale, playing side by side at Counterpoint Music Festival.
